HANDLING DIFFICULT PERSONALITIES

   

Difficult employees are found in almost every workplace.  When an employee consistently does not meet the standards of his/her job, it is the leader’s responsibility to take action.  Difficult employees can cause undue stress and affect co-workers in the most negative manner.   

  

The purpose of this workshop is to provide the skills necessary to deal with a difficult employee by learning the following key topics:

Identifying the difficult employee

Identifying the performance problem

Defining the expected performance standard

Exploring ideas for a solution

Writing a plan for improvement

Instituting disciplinary action when necessary
