Develop and
conduct a structured assessment to obtain information and insight about
the human component in the organization and their attitudes and behaviors
toward change. Identify the Attitudes and Behaviors Within the
Organization · Those who will drive change · Those who will enable change · Those who will hesitate toward change · Those who will resist change Determine the Attributes Associated with Change of
Each of the Identified Groups · What are they skilled at? · What do they have difficulty with? · How will they contribute to change? · What are their needs within change? · What are their behaviors when needs are not met? Identify the Communication Styles of Each of the
Identified Groups · What to do · What not to do · What is effective · What is not Build a Comprehensive Change Assumption Table The table will be the structural
foundation to support the numerous building blocks of change and identify
the assumptions associated with the change initiative. This is
accomplished by constructing an extensive and well-defined assumption
table. Generally, the table consists of several hundred assumptions
within four categories: ·
The Organization (people, culture, skill sets) ·
The Infrastructure (systems, practices, processes) ·
The Business (model, image, drive) ·
The Customer (satisfaction, loyalty, relationships) Identify where stakeholders need to be on the
adoption curve in regards to buy-in and acceptance of the change
initiative. Engage senior leadership in providing clarity of
mission and a commitment to leading by example. |
