Potential pitfalls assessment provides a global view of the enterprise and actionable insight for intervention, development and interaction.

Investigative - Potential Pitfalls
Even though their ideas or solutions may be very good, Investigative people may be ineffective in an organization if they do not develop their political side. In addition, they may be looked upon as impractical, indecisive, or wishy-washy unless they can learn to “sell” their ideas or solutions to upper management. They may generate good solutions, but without follow-through on the details, practical applications may not be realized.

Artistic - Potential Pitfalls
While Artistic people do very well in developing the overall direction of a project, they may become bored and restless once the idea has been accepted.   They may not follow through on the details unless prodded.   They may be seen as difficult to manage because of their need for flexibility.   They tend to flaunt tradition, which may cause those in the mainstream some concern.

Enterprising - Potential Pitfalls
Enterprising people may be seen as pushy or aggressive.   They may rely on their hunches and not do the necessary homework.  When this happens, they may make decisions they later regret.   Enterprising people tend to like their work and may devote more of their time to work than to other priorities.

Social - Potential Pitfalls
Social people may be seen as un-business like and more concerned with people rather than the task. They will tend to “go the extra mile” with their employees, possibly experiencing burnout as a result. They may take too long to make tough personnel decisions in times of business recessions.

Conventional - Potential Pitfalls
By maintaining a traditional point of view, Conventional people may run the risk of getting themselves stuck in a rut.   Their reliance on experience may cause problems if they do not keep their skills updated and their product knowledge current.

Realistic - Potential Pitfalls
Dealing with their employees, peers, and managers on a personal level can be a challenge.   Realistic people are in danger of being seen as reactive, unsociable, or unaware of the feelings of others. They might be too outspoken on topics that interest them. They may hold with tradition too long and neglect to upgrade equipment, systems, or personnel policies.   Because they may have little appreciation for research and development, their products may become outdated or even obsolete.
