Performance Means Having the Right People in the Building to Execute Your Business Model

This concept introduces an approach involving the development of a “Target Range or Similarity Index”.  The Range/Index, in this case, represents the scores of the “top performers” in the organization who perform the same job function as the participant.   When the participant score falls within the sample of top performers it indicates a similarity to the target.  A “Similarity Index” can be referred to as a guide indicative of a good job match and used for development, promotion and recruiting.

This approach encompasses two key assumptions: One, is to pursue a strategy to enhance the capacity of present leadership to meet the challenges and opportunities that confront them, and two, is to establish a representative pool of individuals who have been identified as potential candidates to assume a leadership role in the future.
