Follow-Up Action Steps

Share and Discuss Your Style with Your Teammates

You may want to meet and share and discuss information about your style with your teammates.  Meeting with your colleagues will give you an opportunity to ask questions and get additional feedback.  Below explains how to plan for the meeting.

Meeting Tips

1.  Thank your colleagues for assessing your style.

2.  Share your Working Style report with them.  Tell them how you see yourself (e.g. “My strengths are…but I’m not as good with…”).

3.  Once you know the styles of those you work closely with, ask them to discuss their style with you.

4.  Ask for feedback.  “What can I do to improve the way we work together?”

5.  Initiate an action plan.

Focus on two or three areas to adjust.

Implement your plan.

Keep a journal of your interactions.

Evaluate by getting feedback.  Ask, “How am I doing?”
